▶Objectives
The project met a need for training and the pooling of teaching tools for people practising amateur music in groups, as well as for those accompanying them. practising amateur music in groups and also those accompanying them. The project has enabled amateur musicians in these groups to become more aware of their practices and improve their skills in various aspects of their group work. their group work. The pathway we have set up has enabled them to develop their spirit of initiative and their participation in local life (it has been noted that more musicians have become involved in cultural groups or associations). At the request of the participants, we were also able to offer workshops on technical skills, in particular the use of IT tools and specific equipment linked to instrumental practice. Thanks to the programme offered, the participants were able to gain confidence (in their group project and in their personal lives) and they became much more involved in their group project. [This project has led them to become more actively involved in the cultural and social dynamic of their region], opening up new perspectives and developing their creativity.
▶Impact
Around twenty focus workshops, 4 residency concerts and 4 transnational meetings were organised. The participants (amateur musicians and accompanists) were able to develop their skills rapidly thanks to the course offered, The intercultural dimension encouraged personal development and open-mindedness. Each participant was able to develop an awareness and a critical sense of his or her own practice and of the concept of a group project. The social and intergenerational mix was strengthened, as was access to culture. Playing music in a group also means learning to live and work together. Thanks to the three activities put in place, we have had very good feedback from the participants, who feel that they have gained several years of experience in their practices thanks to the different modules put in place. They learned: technical skills (focus on sound technique, lighting, digital machines for guitar and drums) group skills (learning to listen to the other instruments in the group, managing conflicts) initiative skills (getting involved in a group of musicians to organise events) communication skills (how to develop your group project using digital tools)
