Summary

The 2021-2027 programme gives high priority to people with the fewest opportunities. Young adults with the least opportunities and jobseekers are particularly targeted by training mobility opportunities. In 2019, NEETs represented more than 12.5% of 15-29 year-olds in the EU, and the percentage of NEETs among 24-29 year-olds is even higher (source INSEE). Long-term unemployment is an aggravating factor. The Erasmus + programme is a vehicle for integration for this group. Mobility through work placements improves the employability of these adults and their entry or return to the labour market. However, the involvement of local businesses and the link between the results of mobility and the labour market or entrepreneurship are still weak. As far as Erasmus + projects targeting this job-seeking public through NEET are concerned, the rest of the integration pathways remain insufficiently supported. With this TRIED and TRUE project, we wanted to create an opportunity for cooperation between several European organisations in order to exchange good practice in terms of post-Erasmus (or other mobility) follow-up and support.

Objectives

The specific objectives were as follows 1- To develop the capacities of educators, trainers and integration advisers in the 6 partner countries through the exchange of good practice by developing the skills acquired during mobility, with the involvement of companies in mobility and their support for people after their Erasmus + experience, or any other international experience. 2- Strengthen the skills of adult educators, trainers and social advisers in terms of training and tutoring to stimulate the professional and social inclusion of their target groups, by developing a Guide to good practice. 3- Improve adult learners' access to the labour market by reinforcing and capitalising on their new non-technical, professional, intercultural and linguistic skills acquired during their mobility. 4- Raise awareness of international experience and its benefits within the labour market and the companies involved, and promote the Erasmus+ programme to companies. 5- To create a network of professionals in the field of formal and non-formal education who work with this target group and/or on Erasmus+ mobility.

Activities

In order to achieve the set objectives and expected results, we have organised the following activities: Activity 1 - Project management: Ensuring the proper implementation of the project and achieving the set objectives and results. Activity 2 - Organisation of 4 LTTAs for the exchange of good practice. The LTTAs were organised as planned: * 1st LTTA at Reunion : Topic: Erasmus+ Virtual Community; Partner: ICI & AILLEURS; Valorisation of competences through ECVET credits; Partner: Foyle International; * 2nd LTTA in Italy : Theme: Seminar on the creation of a professional CV and an ePortfolio and Europass; - Partners: Microkosmos; Recruitment process and recognition of skills by companies; Partner: Eurosuccess * 3rd LTTA in Spain : Theme: ICT and open educational resources in education, training and Erasmus+ and European values; Partner: DOMSPAIN; * 4th LTTA in Bulgaria : Theme: Stimulating artistic entrepreneurship and human resources after a pandemic; Partner: EDF Activity 3 - Development of a good practice guide. All shared mentoring practices were collected and a best practice guide was produced. Activity 4 - Dissemination, communication and organisation of local dissemination events.

Impact

The results of the project are as follows, in line with our expectations and even beyond: Short-term results, achieved during the project: 1- More than 10 shared practices concerning valorisation activities and follow-up activities after an Erasmus+ pathway. 2- 6 training activities were organised by all the partners, combined into 4 training courses. 3- 24 internal educators, advisers, trainers and tutors enhanced their skills in the field of mentoring. 4- 38 adult learners were involved in LTTAs to improve their own ability to manage their post-Erasmus+ experience. 5- A best practice guide summarising the practices exchanged was produced. 6- 5 local dissemination events were organised to present the guide and the good practices 7- 3 transnational project meetings were organised. Long-term results, to be confirmed after completion of the project: 1- The capacities of partner organisations in the field of project management have been strengthened 2- The training and mentoring skills of all participants in the training activities have been strengthened 3- Best practices have been disseminated 4- A network of professionals has been created. 5- Innovative ideas have emerged for use in activities to enhance post-Erasmus pathways.
