Objectives

This project aimed to provide guidance, training, and resources to secondary school teachers and their students, with the goal of enhancing their digital readiness and content creation skills for pedagogical and inclusive use of social media. It focused on the integration of these media into the curriculum, emphasising the Erasmus + Key competencies for lifelong learning. The project also promoted the principles and practical applications of microlearning on social media, an engaging, concise, and easily accessible format. A crucial aspect was addressing safety concerns by providing relevant resources for educational content creation, thereby enhancing digital literacy. Unlike previous initiatives focused on safe social media learning, this project primarily aimed to use social media for educational content creation. The project aimed to strengthen the digital skills of teachers and students while encouraging an educational and conscious use of social media.

Impact

Results: • 558 students participated in the testing phases • 87 teachers participated in the testing phases • 67 participants were trained through the online course • 387 teachers and educators participated in multiplier events • 525,929 individuals and 6,391 organizations were reached through the partners' online and offline communication actions • 342 resources are available on the project website in 7 languages (EN, EE, FR, GR, IT, RO) • The website was visited by 5,832 individuals. Impact: The impact of this project has been to: • Strengthen digital skills for the educational use of social media, ensuring continuous personal and professional development. • Promote purposeful, 'active' use of digital technologies in education, making them accessible and inclusive for all. • Increase competence and engagement in learning key skills. • Raise awareness of the importance of digital literacy on social media to combat the spread of misinformation, misuse, and personal data breaches, and ensure online safety.
