Summary

MEEF training curricula are lacking in the management of multilingual and intercultural situations, despite the needs identified in the field. This situation has prompted our participation in an Erasmus+ project aimed at integrating these skills into teacher training programs. Bilingual regions, in particular, face a growing need to develop multilingual and intercultural skills in future teachers. The IPVE+ project was designed to respond to these challenges by raising awareness among educational staff of the plurilingual, intercultural and digital professional context. The aim was to transform the often negative perception of these situations into opportunities for enrichment and openness. The project set up exchanges of experience between participants and specific training courses on digital technology, interculturality and plurilingualism. The initiative also responded to a growing demand for innovative teaching methods adapted to multilingual and multicultural contexts. The results of the project were positive, transforming initial apprehensions into an awareness of the importance of opening up to diversity.

Objectives

The InterPlusValue Erasmus+ project aims to meet the challenges of managing plurilingual and intercultural situations in European education, transforming the negative perception of these situations into enriching opportunities for educational players. The project offers an innovative 2-year training course, comprising seminars, distance learning modules, exchanges of practice and an intercultural competition. It targets three main objectives: - Improve knowledge of cultural and linguistic codes; - Enhance learners' linguistic and cultural skills; - Prepare educational staff to deal effectively with interculturality and plurilingualism. This initiative aims to strengthen teachers' skills and develop teaching tools adapted to linguistic and cultural diversity. The ultimate aim is to offer training that will enable teachers to transform plurilingual and intercultural situations into pedagogical assets for a more inclusive and open education.
