Summary

Year after year, the atmosphere heats up and the climate changes. The SUBA project partners all belong to the ecosystem of the building and public works sector, which is responsible for 40% of all...

Objectives

The SUBA project's team of green building and professional training professionals has been formed around the opportunity to enhance skills through the exchange of practices, and to raise awareness among players in each other's ecosystems and, more broadly, the general public, in order to anchor sustainable construction in collective representations and contribute to its development. Exchanges of experience and know-how between experts have led to working together on other large-scale projects.

Activities

Four learning, teaching and training activities took place in each of the four partnership countries: Senegal, Portugal, Finland and France. Deliverables were produced with our own funds : a report of astonishment, rich in iconography and observations, was produced under the supervision of the Méandre etc' agency following the mission to Senegal in March 2022. It also contains all the links to the video capsules produced in Senegal. For all of us, this period of mobility was seminal, and we want to share it with as many readers as possible. We also have an editorial project for this production. Travel logs were also created by each of the partners who managed the organization of the mobility on their territory. These bilingual notebooks include the corresponding video links. In accordance with the application, film footage was captured by the partners and edited by LaProd. As a result, 6 films were produced for Senegal, 5 for Portugal, 4 for Finland and 7 for France. Links to these films can be found on our deliverables, on the SUBA project web pages (https://cafoc.forpro-creteil.org/?cat=113) and will remain on a youtube channel of our European projects (https://youtube.com/@SUBA-erasmus?feature=shared).

Impact

Thanks to SUBA, we have not only produced deliverables, but each of our organizations has embarked on new projects in its own region, in Europe and internationally: GIP-FCIP de Créteil has joined a consortium led by Université Paris Est-Créteil, which has successfully responded to the 'Compétences et métiers d'avenir' call for expressions of interest in energy and environmental transition in construction. We will be training 80 instructors in eco-construction and have already run two experimental training sites at our adult training centers in April and May 23. In January '24, we will be training a group of young people in initial training in raw earth. The same goes for each partner : Ma-Teria and Nahuel, trained in the straw building system proposed by SustanabuildOy, are expanding the network of straw building professionals. A project has begun in Portugal. Likewise, SustanabuildOy and #Elémenterre are responding to various funding requests to build homes using natural materials in Senegal. The three masons (Nahuel/ SustainabuildOy) will be working on partner projects (training at GIP-FCIP/ building with Ma-Teria and #Elémenterre). In addition, the GIP FCIP ,has been awarded a new Erasmus+ project, Re-Fresh! with Ma-Teria.
