Objectives

The main objective of the SOLAR project is to improve the competence, knowledge, skills and qualifications of small and medium-sized farmers in the field of IFES, which can lead to a positive approach to smart farming. Currently, existing training materials for farmers are mainly focused on the separate areas of bio-food production or alternative/renewable energies. In addition, these learning materials/events/courses are very general and based on sophisticated technologies, which are not always suitable for people with a farming background. We propose to develop a comprehensive curriculum and complex learning materials focused on IFES issues, with particular attention to the climate-smart approach.
