Summary

Digital transformation is one of the EU's 2 major priorities for the period 2021-2027. The Digital Education Action Plan has 2 strategic priorities: (1) Fostering the development of a high-perform...

Objectives

The objectives of the project were as follows: - To raise awareness among VET institutions of the potential of the SELFIE WBL tool (awareness raising); - To guide them to ensure better use of the tool, in particular the decryption of the report and its translation into a digital action plan; - To engage all stakeholders in the VET ecosystem (school leaders, teachers, learners, companies) in the digital transformation process of training institutions (global approach, 360° vision); - To develop the digital skills of school leaders, teachers, learners, according to the priority themes identified in the SELFIE WBL pilot project in 2020; - To contribute to increased use of the SELFIE WBL tool in Europe.

Activities

We started the project by reconnecting with the VET institutions in our countries that had participated in the 2020 pilot project to test the SELFIE WBL tool. We informed them about this new project and took the opportunity to better explore their needs and expectations regarding SELFIE WBL, through a questionnaire and interviews, the answers to which then guided us in developing our deliverables. To work on these deliverables, we implemented the following tasks: PR3: - Identify digital skills needs among school leaders/teachers/learners; - Develop training modules for these 3 target audiences; - Test these modules with samples of these 3 target audiences in our networks and make the necessary improvements; - Proofread and translate these modules into all the languages of our consortium; - Put these modules online before dissemination. PR6: - Refine the analysis of VET institutions' needs regarding SELFIE WBL; - Draft the different parts of the guide in chronological order (preparation / monitoring / translation into a digital action plan); - Collect good practices regarding SELFIE WBL within the consortium; - Collect experiences from institutions that had repeated the SELFIE WBL exercise; - Proofread the entire toolbox in ENG

Impact

We were able to develop the 2 deliverables/project results that were expected within the framework of the project: - PR3: 15 training modules for school heads (5), teachers (5) and learners (5); - PR6: a toolbox to support VET institutions in their use of the SELFIE WBL tool. The content of these deliverables is concrete and operational, directly usable by our target audiences. In addition, we have managed to disseminate the results of our project very widely, thanks to the privileged contacts we have with VET institutions in our respective countries (partly thanks to the 2020 pilot project), and thanks to our links with the Joint Research Centre (JRC - Joint Research Centre of the European Commission) which developed the tool and is still working on its improvement and promoting its use. Thus, the number of participants in our 2 multiplier events exceeded that which was expected (153 VS 139 expected in total, from 22 different countries).
