The general goal of the Project was to improve the capacities of organizations involved by improving knowledge and skills of Youth Workers (YW) who are working with young persons with MD. By strengthening the competences of YW we wanted to empower them to be able develop innovative work methods of empowering youth with MD for a more active role in the society. Digital technologies are advancing rapidly, and the goal is to follow this pace and use new methods of communication with whom young people can relate to. In order to create a stimulating environment, it is necessary to improve the digital competences and media literacy of YW. Specific goals were to encourage YW to discover and develop the potential of young persons with MD by applying new knowledge and skills, to know how to use digital tools to present abilities of young persons, and to instruct young persons to use assistive technology. By exchanging valuable experience between partners, the goal was to obtain an additional level of innovation and encouragement in working on the specific needs of young people. The aim of the Project was also to make the created work methods and tools available to every organization that have young people with MD as their target group.
