▶Objectives
With the help of our project, we wanted to develop a support material and curriculum for family pastoral animators who volunteer to support engaged couples, married couples, families in different life situations, and organize various family pastoral events (e.g. engaged education, spiritual days, etc.) and trainings for them. We wished to create a 6-chapter, 6-topic training curriculum for 6 training days for family pastoral animators. We planned a pilot training to test the curriculum in the two partner countries. We wanted to make the curriculum developed in the project widely available to all interested parties by public websites of our institutions (rozsafuzerkiralyneja.hu and csalad.ro) and organizing dissemination events.
▶Activities
In order to achieve our goals, after the kick off meeting, we organized two transnational meetings for exchange of experience (in Romania and Hungary) in order to exchange good practices. Then the chapters of the planned training material were elaborated in the 6 topics, led by invited well-known experts from the given field. Subsequently, we organized a pilot training to test the curriculum: 3-3 one-day theoretical and a three-day practical training modules in Hungary and Romania, with the help of experts and trainers of partner organizations. We incorporated the gained experiences into the training material. The training material was shared on the websites of the partner organizations and promoted through dissemination events. The project was accompanied by continuous project management and dissemination activities.
▶Impact
As a direct result of the project, a 6-chapter training curriculum has been developed for 6 training days for family pastoral animators in the following 6 topics: Self-knowledge, theological and biblical foundations of family pastoral care, marriage, pedagogy, life protection, volunteering. 27 couples from the partner countries participated in the pilot trainings organized for the curriculum trial, and 9 trainers gained experience in family pastoral animator training. Altogether 42 interested individuals have been informed at the final dissemination events.
