โ–ถSummary

Imagine our world after COVID-19 and focusing on recovery and resilience. BLUE C is tapping into the blue economy and underpinning those indigenous, local businesses that are integral parts of their coastal communities. It is about joining the dots offering a more robust and sustainable tourism experience for those who choose to live, work and visit coastal towns & villages internationally. Building on our strategic goals and alliances, through this project, we can further support SMEโ€™s to collaborate and strengthen their position on the local market, applying cocreation and codesign. Blue-C delivered 3 outputs: Skill Framework & Best Practices, Learning Programme & Platform, Establishing a Regional Network. These outputs may lead to further outcomes, Eg. new ideas for microenterprises, opportunity for synergy to working with others leading to increased job opportunities. It offers the potential for ongoing and further sustainable development of a coastal tourism micro-enterprise clusters. BLUE C aims to enhance sustainability & competitiveness of the blue economy by promoting collaborating and connected coastal communities, growing digital competences, and sharing of best practice on coastal and maritime tourism.

โ–ถObjectives

BLUE-C promotes a strong and committed partner collaboration to focus on micro enterprises embedded across our coastal communities. In tandem to this many lack the digital skills needed to connect, target, and grow their small businesses. Such skills are needed to: innovate, share, learn, grow. BLUE C promoted & facilitated co-working, co-design and co-creation opportunities (3cs) for micro enterprises involved in the blue economy. The emphasis on diversifying, sharing, networking, and adapting to boost tourism. The activities undertaken in this project lead to one goal: to enhance sustainability and competitiveness of the blue economy by promoting collaborating and connected coastal communities, growing digital competences and sharing of best practice. BLUE-C's objectives are: Amplifying the importance of sustainability and social responsibility within blue economy, Reduce environmental impact of coastal and maritime tourism, Highlight the value of digital readiness & online visibility to help grow the blue economy, Grow & develop digital competences as the as we move towards recovery and resilience, Strengthen competitiveness among micro entrepreneurs using the 3Cs, Establish and build collaborating coastal community clusters.
