▶Objectives
The project aims to stimulate the production of teaser videos for the promotion of the performing arts, with a double function: both promotional and artistic. Live performance is encouraged to attract new audiences, especially young people, through the use of teasers and to solicit the use of personnel and professional media to create new employment and exchanges between areas. More specifically the project has pursued the following specific objectives: -Study, promote and support the performing arts and the audiovisual sector, encouraging the creation of new video works capable of stimulating intersectoral reflection through digital language and cooperation -Pay attention to the video formats present on European territory (trailers, video documentaries and video art) trying to shed light on the potential, techniques and tools that differentiate them and putting the Teaser at the center, as an innovative tool of extraordinary interest for video content creator - Define the boundaries between video work and artistic video work - shed light on the importance of the use of digital technologies - harness the potential of new technologies for learning, developing digital skills and innovating the creative sector
▶Activities
At the beginning, the project partners intercepted realities that use the video teaser to promote themselves and/or as a artwork to identify best practices and case studies. The project saw the creation of the research to compose a map on the state of the art in Europe and involved a series of intersectoral experts, between scene, art and audiovisual, to update the research context by widening the network of knowledge. In this sense, events were organized (round tables, dissemination and public events) both in Rome and Paris as well as in decentralised locations (Ronciglione, Galatina, Tropea), to reach target groups in a wider geographical context. Professional training content has been created to trigger good practices to produce teasers. The training conveyed the results of the research into a professional path as a means of marketing and at the same time as an autonomous work. The contents of the training were developed, giving importance to the needs expressed by the target groups involved in the various activities of the project. The activities carried out were documented through photos, videos, writings and paper materials. These have been reworked to be returned to the public in various formats, for a better way of use
▶Impact
Teaser project produced the following results: - research study on the state of the art - 22 interviews and 4 round tables with experts from different sectors - video pills addressed primarily at a young audience - mini-documentary to keep track of the project and disseminate it on the web - training materials for carrying out training courses enriched with in-depth documents for trainers - video tutorials on pre-production and post-production teaser videos Generally speaking, the project facilitated cooperation between the live performers and the audiovisual operators, to get into this innovative tool in order to generate new creative lymph to the art world. We met realities interested in the teaser and others that are already using it, exchanging ideas and useful content to train new generations of artists at looking at the teaser to reach new audiences. In the end the project improved the expertise of the project partners on the topic. The great interest of the participants and experts involved in the project has laid the foundations for future collaborations on Teaser, guaranteeing the sustainability of this initiative over time through new collaborations such as with Applausi and other festivals which will host the teasers
