Objectives

Mobirural project aimed to achieve several key objectives. First, it sought to improve mobility in rural areas by identifying and implementing effective solutions that address the unique challenges of these regions. To achieve this, the project developed a specialized training course tailored for development agents, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to implement mobility solutions locally. A central component of the project was the creation of an online platform to facilitate the exchange of best practices and successful policies from across Europe, fostering collaboration among key stakeholders. Mobirural also aimed to promote the adoption of sustainable and environmentally friendly mobility solutions that could reduce carbon emissions and enhance the quality of life in rural communities. One of the project's long-term goals was to establish the role of the 'rural mobility agent' as a recognized professional profile across Europe, positioning these agents as drivers of change in rural transport systems. By strengthening European cooperation, Mobirural intended to influence policy and encourage the widespread adoption of innovative rural mobility practices.
