Objectives

The project's objectives are: To increase awareness of the importance of European cultural heritage as a vehicle for social inclusion, a driver of employment, and economic growth; To promote new participatory and inclusive approaches for the enjoyment and enhancement of heritage linked to European routes, also through the use of ICT and the promotion of self-entrepreneurship skills; To promote intercultural dialogue and the internationalization of educational offerings. ENRICH-EU reflects a deep commitment to enhancing European cultural heritage as a means of social inclusion, innovation, and intercultural dialogue, aiming to transform not only education but also individuals' perception and interaction with their rich cultural heritage.

Activities

We implemented a series of structured activities in 5 main work programs. In addition to coordination, monitoring (WP0), and dissemination (WP5), the other activities aimed to actively engage students and teachers and enhance European cultural heritage through innovative and interdisciplinary approaches as follows: Development of Educational Units (WP1): Teachers directly involved in the project developed six inclusive and interdisciplinary educational units (UDs) focused on European routes. These UDs were field-tested with students from the partner schools of the project, using non-formal learning methods to assess the learning achieved. Theatrical Performances (WP2): Students, facilitated by their teachers, created and staged theatrical performances along European routes, involving local communities. This activity allowed students to express themselves creatively and interact with cultural heritage in a dynamic and engaging way. Development of Cultural Business Ideas (WP3): Students developed cultural and/or tourism business ideas related to cultural heritage.

Impact

Upon the completion of ENRICH-EU, tangible products were created, and learning outcomes were achieved for both teachers and students. The tangible results include: 6 inclusive educational units developed with non-formal learning methods along European routes. The use of non-formal methodologies allowed for more dynamic and participatory learning. 3 theatrical performances, devised by students who wrote the plot and performed it along the route and with virtual mobilities. These performances provided students with the opportunity to explore European history and cultural heritage in a creative and engaging way, enhancing their understanding and appreciation of cultural heritage. 3 ideas for cultural and/or tourism businesses. Students developed three innovative ideas for cultural and/or tourism enterprises, inspired by the cultural heritage of the European routes explored in the project. These ideas were validated using Lean and Canvas methods, promoting entrepreneurial and creative skills.
