The DiFree project was meant to successfully raise awareness among students and graduates about the potential of freelancing as a sustainable career, helping them recognize it as a viable and flexible professional path. By bridging the gap between academic education and the practical requirements of a freelancing career, the project wanted to provide targeted training and guidance to equip participants with essential skills. Through the creation of practical tools and training materials, students had to gain valuable digital and entrepreneurial competencies, enhancing their ability to navigate the job market. Additionally, the establishment of mentorship programs and Freelancer Hubs aimed to foster meaningful networking opportunities, enabling students to connect with experienced professionals and industry leaders. Strengthening ties between higher education institutions and the business sector, the project aimed to further promote freelancing as a legitimate and strategic work model, ensuring its long-term sustainability within the evolving labor market.
