▶Objectives
The CREAM project aimed to spark interest in STEAM disciplines among school students by developing and testing an innovative teaching model using Creative Writing Laboratories (CWLs). This approach integrated creative thinking with STEAM concepts to solve real-life problems, fostering scientific knowledge, problem-solving, and participation in local innovation processes. The project’s general objective was to expand STEAM-focused learning opportunities, encouraging students to learn through experimentation and collaboration. Specific objectives included researching STEAM teaching methods (PR1), co-designing the CWLs model (PR2), piloting it in four countries (IT, SI, GR, PL) (PR3), and documenting outcomes through storytelling (PR4). The project also aimed to establish sustainability by creating guidelines for replicating the CWLs model in schools (PR5) and producing a policy paper to influence EU and national education policies. By connecting STEAM to daily-life challenges and fostering open schooling, the project engaged diverse stakeholders, including schools, universities, businesses, and NGOs, while inspiring students to pursue scientific careers through creative and collaborative learning approaches.
