Objectives

Partnerships aim to improve access to training and qualifications for all by supporting the pooling of resources and providing initial and/or continuing training of workers, strengthening basic skills in initial and further vocational education, in particular digital skills, green skills and employability skills. The objectives of the project: • Develop Sustainable Hospitality Digitalisation Guidebook for initial and continuous VET Learners; • Provide practical guidelines ‘Pedagogy of Sustainable Hospitality Digitalisation’ to VET Educators and coaches of initial and continuous professional hospitality education; • Produce digital course ‘Sustainable Hospitality Digitalisation Toolkit ’ • Produce series of webinars to demonstrate how to use the resources and the course by the educators and learners from the two perspectives, and produce reviews on related subtopics; • Improve VET educators’ knowledge on hospitality digitalisation and approaches to embed digitalisation in the units; • Mobilise social capital to raise awareness and promote the need to improve digital and digitalisation skills in Hospitality VET education and in the hospitality industry; • Improve the intellectual and digitalisation competence of the participants;

Activities

The implemented activities include four transnational project meetings in Sweden, Stockholm, Denmark, Randers, Cyprus, Nicosia and Latvia as planned, project management activities and four project results, including PR1 Sustainable Hospitality Digitisation Guide for Vocational Education Learners and Professionals, PR2 Pedagogy of Sustainable Hospitality Digitalisation, PR3 Course 'Sustainable Hospitality Digitalisation Toolkit', PR4 Series of Webinars 'Sustainable Hospitality Digitalisation'. The project activities also include six multiplier events, including a dissemination conference in Denmark, Randers, Dania Academy, a distribution conference in Italy, Rome, Italian Hospitality School, a distribution conference in Latvia, HOTEL SCHOOL Hotel Management College, a distribution conference in Cyprus, Nicosia, City Unity College Nicosia, Online Distribution Conference in Sweden, Stockholm, Digital Guest ApS, Online Distribution Conference in Spain, Huelva, INERCIA Digital. Two learning activities are taking place including a workshop on 'Pedagogy of Sustainable Hospitality Digitalisation' for VET educators in Huelva, Spain, hosted by INERCIA Digital, and a workshop on Sustainable Hospitality Digitilisation for Hospitality VET students in Italy, Rome, hosted by Italian Hospitality School SRL. In addition, the project participants implemented dissemination activities such as Global Cafes, translations in all partner languages, post-project activities co-financed by the participants.

Impact

The project delivered an innovative OER Sustainable Hospitality Digitization Toolkit consisting of the four project results for 8 learner styles: PR1 Sustainable Hospitality Digitalisation Guide for VET learners and professionals (initial, continuing learners), 233 pages; PR2 “Pedagogy of Sustainable Hospitality Digitalisation” for VET Educators and Hospitality Business Coaches and Team Leaders, 283 pages, PR3 Digital Course “Sustainable Hospitality Digitalisation Toolkit” including session plans for 15 topics with materials, 8 learning styles; PR4's series of five webinars on 'Sustainable Hospitality Digitalisation'. The two digital guidebooks include audio recordings for each book page, and additional mp4 audio files have been created, grouped by 20 pages per file. Plans for 15 topic sessions (activities) with summaries of materials have been developed for VET students and educators. The course elements are integrated with the Moodle system and another part is in the CMS system for hotels and tourism companies as Digital Guest (Sweden) digital application solution embedded in this course. The course includes elements and features for 8 learner styles. The course can be taught by VET educators, hospitality business trainers, team leaders as a standalone online course online, as a face-to-face digital course or in hybrid studios, as an online and workshop course. The course can be delivered as a stand-alone course and as embedded sustainability hospitality digitalisation content in other courses. The course can be led by educators and learned individually by VET learners, professionals and amateurs. A sustainable hospitality digitalisation competence framework for VET learners and educators based on DigComp 2.0., 2.1.. 2.2. are developed and displayed in digital guides. Five video webinars are recorded and presentations are made with the webinar materials. The project website includes all these activities. All project results are interconnected and complement each other.
