Our general objective was to increase the responsibility regarding the environment among the participants from the 3 countries, who carried out project activities. Our specific objectives were: to increase the level of information and environmental awareness among the participants, regarding the issue of waste recycling and raising the participants’ responsibility by actively involving them in collaborative activities and peer-teaching method; continuing the effectiveness of environmental sustainability as the main goal of our project by encouraging students to use digital technologies actively end correctly in the framework of digital transformation that emerged during the covid-19 period: promotion of ecological education in schools in the three participant countries and development of the ecological spirit among youth through extracurricular activities and the use of IT tools and social media; inclusion of foreign students in the project to ensure Intercultural interaction through a collaborative method to prevent cultural conflict by understanding the wealth of different cultures; development of social/civic and English speaking skills in an intercultural context.
▶Activities
Activities were conducted in the 3 partner countries. -In North Macedonia were conducted the following activities: welcoming; ice-breaking; questionnaire; logo competition winner announcement; poster preparation and exhibition; a visit to the national park; cleaning the forest; workshop and team building activities ; a trip to the Natural Museum and the zoo and cultural visit. -In Turkiye the following activities were conducted: creative drama; a TED talk about Zero Waste; preparing brochures and flyers; handcrafts; writing slogans; pictures by using waste materials etc. and cultural visits. -In Romania the following activities were conducted: creative drama ;TED talk about Zero Waste ; presentation -preparing brochures; tree planting ; orienteering game ; cultural visits.
▶Impact
The outcomes of the project are the participants who have made the Zero Waste method a part of school culture with their cognitive, affective and psycho-motor skills related to Environmental Sustainability accepted digital transformation as a part of Project production and understood the importance of inter cultural integration. Individuals with a sense of responsibility, who took it as their duty to spread their knowledge and experience about environmental problems will be the outputs project. For the sake of better promotion participants created a common documentary to raise awareness and to serve as role models in their communities. They also shared their thoughts about the project and the things they have learnt. They have designed many posters and booklets too. All outcomes are posted at the project website and promoted at schools.
