Objectives

The primary goals were to: - Equip language teachers and teacher trainers with the necessary digital and pedagogical skills to effectively integrate technology into their teaching practices. This includes developing expertise in coordinating VE projects, utilising digital tools for intercultural communication, and understanding the pedagogical implications of emerging technologies (i.e. VR or AI). - Foster collaboration between schools and universities to bridge the gap between theory and practice. By working together, teachers and teacher trainers can co-develop and implement innovative pedagogical approaches that address the diverse needs of students. - Promote intercultural competence and global citizenship, and improve foreign language teaching practices by leveraging VE programs. E-LIVE aimed to provide students with opportunities to interact with peers from different cultural backgrounds, develop intercultural communication skills, and gain a deeper understanding of global issues. - Address the challenges of "superdiversity" by creating inclusive learning environments that cater to the diverse needs and backgrounds of all students engaged in VE.
