Objectives

The main goal of this project is to develop a European teaching and training module for social and health care students to improve their basic knowledge, skills and competence in supporting peoples empowerment in different ages. We will use the concept of Positive Health. The final result will be: - a teaching and training module for seven different target group of four hours (theory and practical lessons) - a train the trainer short course for teachers to be trained on working with the materials First train all partners in the concept of Positive Health. Together we wanted to develop short trainings that can be used all over Europe so students, future workers can understand the importance of working through this innovative concept. By using the materials student learn the techniques in interviewing people in need of care and improve their competences to support people in different ages and client groups. The project is based on Positive Health six pillars for Positive Health. Those items give the study program a clear scientific base. The materials needed to be easy to work with for students all over Europe. Teachers play a crucial role, we wanted to develop a special introduction for them, they are the role models.

Activities

We have organised a number of different meetings. - We started with an online meeting, due to Covid-19, here we discussed the way we were going to work, decided on dates and who would be responsible for the different outcomes. Also the topics of quality and dissemination were addressed. - The ‘official’ kick-off meeting in Roeselare. The most important topic was the training of the participants in the concept of the six pillars of Positive Health. We planned to have an official trainer from the organisation that developed this method https://www.iph.nl/en/, therefore this was done by the Netherlands, who have been working with this method already. The outcomes, way of working etc were addressed also. - The TPM’s, here we worked as students and teachers together on the outputs, students had an important role in creating student materials. Teachers did the same for the teachers manuals. Before and after the participants met in their own countries to create extra materials, evaluate, present to other students and teachers to gather feedback. All partners are responsible for one work package. Also there was a short meeting discussing in progress in general. - Online meetings, before every TPM there was an online meeting so all participants came prepared and knew what to do. The meeting was lead by the coordinator and the countries responsible for the output. - In between there were online meetings with the coordination team, here we discussed the progress and the quality and dissemination activities. The coordinator instructed the participants on the practical issues like finances, time sheets. - LTTA, we have organised a training session with new ‘fresh’ teachers who were introduced to the materials. They were asked to give feedback and they had the task to make a training for appr. 10 teachers in their home college, to make sure that many teachers are aware and able to work with the materials. - In every country we organised a train-the-trainer event to present the materials, get feedback and also to discuss how these materials can/ will be used in the curriculum of the next year. - Multiplier events, all countries have presented the materials to their regional network - In a lot of different (European) meetings the project was presented to colleagues - One on one meetings between the coordinator and Greek partner on discussing the website that is created: https://health4eu.eu/ Other actions taken: - Creating Google drive for all materials - Creating WhatsApp groups for direct communication - making templates for powerpoint presentations, and an introduction on the project - creating templates for the documents (GDPR, work contracts, signature lists etc) - making a project management handbook -

Impact

The outputs we realized are more than we promised and expected at the start. We wanted to create seven modules to train students in theiir work with different target groups. The modules had to be compact, in the sense that they could be integrated in the curriculum in an easy way. We added to the outputs also an E-learning module, which make the materials much more up-to-date to work with. Students can work on the modules on any device and any time they want without needing a copied paper document. We are very glad that we found a colleague very skilled in the developing learning materials in a modern way. - Seven modules to train students working in different client groups. The modules all have concrete lessons with the materials for teachers to support them to present the content - for all seven modules there is a student manual where is explained by students to students how to work with this materials, what the goals are. - Seven teachers manuals to support teachers in how to use the materials, extra documentation - A lesson 0 for all modules where the focus is on the theory on the concept of Positive Health - A train the trainer course where the materials can be presented to colleagues - Website where all materials can be found - Newsletters we have send to he network of the partners and added to the site
