Objectives

NGOs, Associations, Social enterprises can play a key role in supporting the green transition and shaping Europe’s digital future. It is therefore crucial to educate them about the opportunities offered by the green economic transition as well as to strengthen their digital skills. By implementing the DIGITECH project we aimed a achieving 4 specific objectives: 1. Building the capacity of organisations and training providers to develop, conduct, and evaluate climate-focused projects. 2. Improving the competences of educators and other adult education staff by connecting them with apps and other technologies they can use to measure their carbon emissions in their future activities. 3. Reinforcing NGOs, associations, social enterprises' skills and ability to better communicate the climate impact of their economic activity. 4. Developing new software and applications for measuring the carbon footprint of projects and organisations which can be used in other contexts.

Activities

Besides the production of 3 project results, the following activities were implemented: - organisation of 4 transnational project meetings (2 face-to-face and 2 online) aimed to create a shared understanding of the project, create synergies, and develop capacity building. - organisation of the international training “Digital Skills for the Green Transition “ (C1) in Italy aimed to acquire digital skills needed to support the green transition - design and development of the project's graphic identity. - design, development, maintenance, and translation of the project website. - creation and development of the project’s social media channels. - communication and promotion activities (leaflets, newsletters, etc.) through online/offline channels. - organisation and realisation of 4 final events. - creation of informal networks at local level reached through the communication and dissemination activities. - production of original educational material.

Impact

With the final aim to support NGOs, Associations, Social enterprises in playing a key role in supporting the green transition and shaping Europe’s digital future, the following results have been produced: • DIGITECH Guide (R1): Guidelines and instructions on how digital tools can be used in the sustainability sector. • DIGITECH Carbon emission app (R2): A carbon emissions advanced calculator for events. • DIGITECH Web Platform - Video series (R3): Online tool for showcasing the project results and promoting cooperation between all the parties involved. To maximise the visibility of the project, all the project results and the material produced during the project lifetime are available in EN, NO,DK,IT and RO. The Consortium also implemented: - 1 LTTA aimed to support participants to explore the opportunities offered by non-formal methodologies in the sustainability field and specifically on carbon accounting. - 4 multiplier events to showcase the project results and reach a wider audience outside the partnership.
