▶Objectives
We knew that activities in this Project were ambitious but we were sure of success. Our objectives were simple and focused at improving seniors competencies and giving them tools, not only a portion of knowledge. 1.We wanted to fight the digital exclusion of seniors and overcome the low success rate of traditional companies raised by the government or police. 2.Polish and Lithuanian partners wanted to give seniors real tools, a sense of power, and self-determination in the face of cyber-crime. 3. We wanted to help and build a digital capacity in seniors' local communities. 4. For keeping the last long effect we wanted to have some kind of network – that would gather seniors who participated in the course and spread the knowledge among their friends and families. 5. We wanted to develop an educational course available to each senior. Easy to transmit, easy to understand which discusses important issues.
▶Activities
Our project involved many activities: 1. The first category were - meetings: we had not only international meetings but also online. We had consultations with specialists and personal meetings with seniors who participated in the course. We also had a chance to meet local communities in both countries. 2. The second category was – working on the course and handbook: which includes preparing the content, finding examples for the course, consultations with experts, and testing (demo versions of the course). 3. The third category was – education:every single activity that was done to conduct the course like preparing a place, and material, finding the best teachers, and preparing evaluation, as well as conducting the course itself. 4. The fourth category was promotion and dissemination: sending info to all interested parties about the course and the project, writing articles, speaking with journalists, creating Facebook posts, creating promotional material for websites, and creating YouTube videos. 5. The fifth category was -creating the Educators Network: we helped seniors spread knowledge, evaluated their efforts, and monitored their activities while helping them in case of any problem.
▶Impact
In application form we had determined the four stages of project, which would ended with specific result. 1. The first important result is creating the Seniors Educators Network who finished the course and received important tools to spread the knowledge and help other Seniors protect themselves from cyber-crimes. We have more than 700 indirect recipients. Each trained senior shared knowledge with an average of 19 people! 2. The second important result is study material supplemented with examples and exercises for the course "Strong in the Net". 3. The third important result is: Creating a handbook for lecturers who will be interested in good and effective implementation of the course. 4. The fourth important result is: that the rise of awareness, proven by tests, helps to prevent from being a victim of cybercrime. 5. The fifth important result is: conducting the “Strong in the Net course among 37 seniors.
