Objectives

"Healthy Mind - Resilience, Strength and Focus" was a project about shaping the mind and character. The goal of the project was to learn how to respond appropriately to adversities encountered in life, and to equip young people with the ability to adapt to changing conditions, the ability to recover lost or weakened strength, and resilience to stress. The project fostered mental competencies such as self-confidence and self-worth, strength of character, attentiveness, courage, compassion and drive. Its aim was also to guide students with different techniques and methods that we can use to deal with stres and pressure. During the project the participants also learnt about professional institutions and organisations that help people with mental problems.

Activities

The main activities of the project were 3 mobilities which took place in partner countries, in Poland, Greece and the Czech Republic. During the mobilities the students within the big international group had a chance to talk about the problems and realize that they all face the same problems of modern time. They attended lectures and workshops about health mind and did sightseeing of beautiful surrounding of 3 different countries which is one of the ways to deal with stress. Apart from mobilities there were 4 big activites planned in the application form of the project and all of them were completed within national project groups and then exchanged, compared and discussed together. It was large – format mandala, a video made of individual short videos about participants’ personal reflection on pandemia, booktalking podcast about inspirational books and an informational toolkit about stress and anxiety.

Impact

The main effects are in the participants’ knowledge and awareness of many factors connected to health mind that they obtained. They learn how different functions of our brain and body work and what are the symptoms of good and bad state of mind. They tested different natural ways of coping with mental problems like meditation or joga and could find a suitable solution to their individual needs. The effects of the knowledge they gained are the educational materials that were produced during the project. There are presentations, photos, leaflets and a lesson script that can be used in the future during different lessons or other educational activities.
