Objectives

By implementing the MC-View project, partners wanted to contribute to foster adult education and increase media literacy by promotion off critical viewing among the people with fewer opportunities (low qualified persons, unemployed youth, adults at poverty risk, etc.) and adult educators. The aims was achieved through development of: - MC-VIEW training course materials (PR1), which explore the three main areas: Media communication literacy, Critical viewing and Digital Awareness; - MC-VIEW web based personalized media literacy training canter “Individual approach to media literacy in the digital environment” (PR2).

Activities

All planned activities were implemented. They included activities in the area of management, dissemination, evaluation and PRs development. In management, bilateral agreements were signed, management space in AdminProject were prepared. 4 „face to face „TPMs were organised, also online meetings were organised according to the needs. 1 teaching/learning/training activity in Heraclion was organized and represented by all partners. In the area of PRs, partners implemented 4 main tasks within PR1, and 6 within PR2. The target groups of the McView project were disadvantaged groups members (low qualified persons, unemployed, adults at poverty risk, etc.) and adult educators. All project activities were geared to solve problems and improve the situation of this group. Furthermore, the partnership created tools for institutions that support and take care of disadvantaged adults, such as adult education centres social welfare institutions, schools for adults, third age universities, associations supporting disadvantaged adults and fighting with social exclusion, local and regional self-government education departments and adult educators.

Impact

In relation to the target group, an important result are: - Raised dbasic skills related to "Media communication literacy" - Raised basic skills related to "Critical viewing" - Raised basic skills related to "Digital Awareness" among people with fewer opportunities in Spain, Poland, Greece, Italy and Portugal, - Raised awareness of adult educators of methods of enhance the media literacy rate, - Raisied awareness of adult educators in capacity to use latest technologies to of reduce the media literacy rate among adults, - Increased awareness of the partnership on good practices in enhance the media literacy and digital awareness rate. Tangible results: - MC-VIEW training course materials (PR1), which explore the three main areas: Media communication literacy, Critical viewing and Digital Awareness; - MC-VIEW web based personalized media literacy training canter “Individual approach to media literacy in the digital environment” (PR2).
