Objectives

The project aimed to: 1) Identify SMEs’ workforce needs in digital marketing to define precise learning requirements; 2) Based on the previous, develop a transversal curriculum aligning with labour market demands and critical student learning areas; 3) Initiate digitalization for less experienced teachers and enhance pioneering teachers through tailored material and collaborative training; 4) Based on curriculum outlines developed in 2), design five essential digital marketing training modules (á 5ects) 5) Implement these courses broadly among business students. The project primarily targeted teachers and students in Poland, Finland, the Netherlands, and Portugal, to engage a significant proportion of European HEI and VET educators and learners. It extended its appeal beyond business faculties, reaching disciplines such as engineering and ICT, which also contribute skilled graduates to the business sector.

Activities

The project implemented 3 key activity packages (PRs): PR1: Transnational Digital Marketing Curricula (Lead: P.Porto) Conducted a needs gaps analysis via surveys (with 360 digital marketing professionals) and published a statistical report Developed a curricular plan that takes into account the priorities, needs and job descriptions of the business world Created a detailed report on digital marketing curricula and launched a project website PR2: Digitalization of Business Teachers (Lead: TUAS) Developed an entry package titled ‘The ABC of Digital Marketing’ to support novice teachers Finalized the curricular plan by creating five teaching modules (5 ECTS each), accompanied by detailed instructions for educators Conducted workshops and collaborative sessions for teacher colleagues at local, regional, and national levels across partner institutions, tailored to varying levels of experience Published the training material (5 modules) online on www.dems.pro with open-access Disseminated the deliverables in various channels and reached a remarkable share of European HEI and VET teachers PR3: Digital Skills Challenge for Students (Lead: HU) Engaged SMEs to provide real-world assignments Prepared students with practice-oriented tasks...
