▶Objectives
Through our project VET students could strengthen their vocational skills, i.a.: - boost knowledge and awareness regarding environmental issues such as: climate change, renewable energy sources, smog and carbon footprint; - gain and expand specific knowledge in the field of design, engineering and dedicated graphic design software platforms taking the selected environmental issues into account while designing; - develop passions and vocational competences leading to the choice of a career pathway; - boost digital and media literacy for effective online promotion purposes; - increase interest in STEAM-based approach to acquire peculiar skills, making their position in the labour market much stronger; - increase employability opportunities through the development of specific skills. Through the implementation of this project all partners equipped VET students specialised in engineering with the adequate vocational, specific and unique skills which will allow them to work more effectively and competitively in the EU labour market, take advantage of advanced technologies and prevent labour market mismatches in a long-term perspective.
▶Activities
Activities: 1. MANAGEMENT/ COORDINATION/ COMMUNICATION – EDUKATOR managed the project and made their Work-space available to the project. Edukator was also responsible for good communication flow between partners, risk management, time management and budget control. 2. PROMOTION – through partners’ websites and social media, project’s FB page, local/ regional mass media, informative brochures. 3. DISSEMINATION through personal networks, Internet, social media, local press, regional/national seminars, round-table discussions with policy-makers. 4. FINANCIAL MONITORING – through progress and interim reports and Mobility+ system. 5. EVALUATION based on Integrated Evaluation Strategy. 6. SUSTAINABILITY – based on an Integrated Sustainability Strategy and a well-structured database of stakeholders and other contacts which can contribute to the multiplication of project results. 7. Four TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETINGS and supplementary online meetings 8. Six MULTIPLIER EVENTS 9. Development of 3 Intellectual Outputs: a. Green Best Practce Guide enriched with 3 podcasts (IO1) b. WE PRODUCED: - Project Management Handbook - Quality Assurance and Evaluation - Dissemination and Sustainability Plan - Reports (e.g. financial, dissemination, evaluation) - Informative printed material (leaflets, poster etc.) - A Project Brand Manual - A Quality Assurance and Risk Management (QARM) strategy - 4 Newsletters - Project logo - Project website and Facebook page - Stakeholder contact database - 3 Intellectual Outputs: a. Green Best Practce Guide enriched with 3 podcasts (IO1) b. Design Course 'The Art of Green Districts' available conventionally and in an online form on Moodle platform (IO2) c. A Young Engineer's e-Portfolio Handbook (YEP Handbook) (IO3) OTHER OUTCOMES VET students specialised in engineering became more adaptable to the needs of the labour market through the well-structured design course; they were equipped t with peculiar skills; the course helped them enhance their uniqueness in the competitive labour market in this specific profession, providing climate-neutral, green and digital-oriented services. Students are also capable of presenting their achievements through a non-trivial e- portfolio. VET teachers reinforced their didactic skills through the incorporation of the proposed innovative tools into their pedagogical routine, thus becoming more digitally literate.
