Critical thinking workshop as a support and protection tool for young people against the effects of hate speech and fake news.

Through the implementation of the project, young people, who are the main beneficiaries of the project, have been supported by youth workers in the conscious handling, processing, recognition and reading of information such as hejt, fake news, populist and radical content, and the ability to distinguish fact from opinion. This will protect them from the radicalisation and disinformation present in the mass media and especially on the internet. At the same time, the social awareness of young people and their civic attitude towards disinformation and radicalisation has increased. In addition, the skills of youth workers in critical thinking have been improved, which will significantly improve the quality of their work. Through the implementation of the project, space was created for the exchange of information between partners on new threats to young people as a result of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic or the war in Ukraine. In addition, the partners implementing this project had the opportunity to discuss future cooperation in supporting young people affected by the pandemic and in other areas.

Main activities implemented in the project: - Kick-off meeting, - Online platform - e-learning course, - Substantive meeting related to the launch of the e-learning platform and analysis of the youth workshop scenarios. - Youth workshop scenarios - Training workshops for young people according to the developed scenarios - Evaluation meeting - Presentation of the e-learning platform and workshop scenarios. The project implemented 3 key international project meetings. The first two meetings were held in Poland and the last one in Spain. In addition, as part of the implementation of the results, one project meeting was planned for youth workers to test the e-learning platform tool produced during the project. The learning activity was carried out in Rewa, Poland. The training for young people and youth workers contributed to the training of the first group of leaders, who will further multiply the acquired knowledge among young people and teach other youth workers to use the new innovative tool. Scheduled training workshops for young people led by youth workers allowed to test and refine methods of working with young people on the topic in an international environment, which was also one of the objectives of the project.

The main outputs of the project are: - an e-learning platform - an e-learning course consisting of 3 main modules - 10 activity scenarios for young people. A broader description of the results is presented in the following sections of the report. The above-mentioned results are the result of partnership cooperation between organisations from Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary and Spain. The results impacted youth workers, the youth themselves, the partner organisations and the local/regional community through the implementation of a number of activities, including dissemination activities.
