Summary

We applied for the implementation of the "Green Three Seas for Young People" project because, together with Partners from 9 countries: Slovakia, Slovenia, Lithuania, Latvia, Austria, Hungary, Roma...

Objectives

We wanted to achieve many different goals as part of the project. First of all, the project aimed to strengthen cooperation between organizations and institutions, which was aimed at increasing the social capital of participants and associated partners. A key aspect of the project was to increase the role of young people in public debate. We aimed to achieve this by basing the main result of the project, i.e. the "Green Three Seas for Youth" Strategy, on the recommendations of young people. Thanks to this, young people had a real influence on shaping policies and activities related to ecology and the environment. The project also aimed to improve the competences of young people, which was to increase their chances of employment in the increasingly green economy of the future. As part of the project, the aim was to prepare, implement and popularize the "Green Labor Market - Green Competences" workshops. In addition, the project's activities were aimed at promoting civic activity, sense of initiative and entrepreneurship among young people and strengthening their employability. Conducting workshops in the organization's areas of activity was intended to educate young people and increase their ecological awareness and knowledge.

Activities

As part of the "Green Three Seas for Youth" project, we carried out the following activities: Organized 10 international project meetings in Poland, Austria, Latvia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, Lithuania, and the Czech Republic. Conducted surveys with 513 young people from partner countries, resulting in the "Green Three Seas for Youth" Strategy, published in 11 languages. Developed the "Green Labor Market - Green Competences" workshops and conducted a training course in Slovenia. Created the project website: greencompetences.pl. Established social media profiles and conducted a social campaign reaching 255,422 recipients. Held 10 dissemination events with a total of 327 participants. Launched a dissemination campaign, sending over 300 emails to institutions, authorities, and ministries related to ecological topics. These activities support youth involvement in ecological transformation and the development of green competences.

Impact

As part of the "Green Three Seas for Youth" project, we achieved significant results in supporting young people's involvement in ecological transformation and developing green competences. The first key result was the development of the "Green Three Seas for Young People" strategy, including chapters on the Green Labor Market, Just Transition, Inclusive Climate Policies, and Ecological Education. This strategy was based on recommendations and survey responses from 513 young people. The second result was the creation of workshop scenarios focused on the green labor market and green competences. These workshops addressed changes in traditional professions, such as mining and metallurgy, preparing young people for new market conditions and increasing their ecological awareness. Additionally, we launched an extensive information campaign promoting the European Green Deal and the "Green Three Seas for Youth" strategy. This campaign reached over 200,000 online recipients and engaged over 300 participants in local and dissemination meetings, where decision-makers were also invited. The strategy was ceremonially handed over at these meetings to integrate it into local politics.
