Metacognitive Skills for Adult Learners

Met-AE aimed to create a clear and direct upskilling pathway for vulnerable and low-skilled adult learners, to improve their accessibility to uncommon, yet very important skills and ultimately to support the increase in take-up of adult education through the ability of adults with a low level of skills, knowledge, and competences to successfully complete adult education courses and qualifications. The project also aimed to improve mentoring and guidance skills of adult training organizations and adult educators to ensure that their adult learners are equipped with relevant learning capacity throughout life with their metacognitive skills. Met-AE project results provide resources, training and support to provide effective outreach, guidance and motivation strategies to adult learners.

The implementation of Met-AE relied on the Project Dashboard which is a collection of key project activities and project results critical for the project success and being key elements of the project design. It collected major milestones together with specified deadlines to guide partners and support understanding of key deliverables and activities along the project duration and division of management responsibilities among partners.
