โ–ถObjectives

The REDEAL project aimed to: 1. Develop a comprehensive framework to professionalize the role of community learning facilitators, recognizing their pivotal role in adult education. 2. Elaborate a tailored community learning curriculum designed to meet the unique needs of adults in these communities, focusing on inclusivity and accessibility. 3. Implement a pilot program in select rural communities to test and refine the project's methodologies, ensuring their effectiveness and adaptability. 4. Create a replicable model of community learning that could be adopted across various European contexts, particularly in areas where educational opportunities are scarce.

โ–ถActivities

To achieve its objectives, the project undertook a series of strategic activities: 1. Conducting a thorough comparative analysis of existing community learning practices to identify best practices and gaps. 2. Developing a competency framework for community learning facilitators based on this analysis, followed by the creation of a professional standard. 3. Designing and implementing a community learning curriculum that was both flexible and adaptable to the needs of the target communities, addressing both community learning facilitators and disadvantaged adults from the local community. 4. Organizing training sessions for community learning facilitators and hosting regional and national dissemination events to share insights, methodologies, and best practices extracted from the project.

The REDEAL project achieved significant results and laid the groundwork for sustainable change in adult learning within disadvantaged communities: 1. The establishment of a professionalization pathway for community learning facilitators, elevating the standard and quality of adult education in the target areas. 2. The successful development and pilot testing of a community learning curriculum, which not only enhanced the educational infrastructure but also provided a model for inclusive and accessible learning. 3. The project demonstrated a marked improvement in the availability of learning opportunities for disadvantaged adults, evidenced by the enthusiastic participation of the community in pilot programs. 4. A notable increase in collaboration and partnership among local stakeholders, including educational institutions, local authorities, and NGOs, fostering a community-driven approach to adult learning.
