This project aims to significantly enhance the topical, methodological, and intercultural competencies of 40 students specializing in Digital Platform Enterprise management. A core component involves the development of a robust online learning environment, specifically designed to foster collaboration and support effective digital learning practices amongst students pursuing Business Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Informatics degrees. Furthermore, the project will improve the flexibility of individual learning journeys for 20 students through strategically implemented blended mobility programs. The ultimate goal is to create a high-quality, adaptable curriculum framework that can serve as a model for modernizing Master's level programs focused on Digital Platform Enterprise management within higher education institutions worldwide.

The DEMO Report PR1 provides a comprehensive study of Digital Platform Enterprise (DPE) education literature, synthesizing key findings from academic sources, HEI programs, industry cases and publications. It establishes a state-of-the-art analysis of the research, education, and applied science in DPE, fostering a shared understanding and common terminology. The Digital Platform Enterprise methodology was developed as part of the DEMO project using the Balanced Design Planning tool. This tool ensures an innovative alignment of course content with learning outcomes (LO) and student workload. PR3 provides 15 teaching units (90 minutes each) for a Digital Platform Enterprise module, addressing a gap in current educational resources. The innovative element is the comprehensive coverage of key topics across different disciplines. As PR4 we developed practice-based case studies which have proven to be an effective method for enabling students to explore theoretical concepts and apply them to real-world scenarios. Used in both summer schools (2023 and 2024), they required students to address open-ended problems and develop solutions in interdisciplinary teams. PR5 presents a modular, adaptable curriculum framework for a Joint Industry-Academia Master's program focusing on Digital Platform Enterprises. Designed to address the scarcity of standardized, interdisciplinary higher education programs in this critical emerging field within the European context, this framework facilitates integration into existing university structures while adhering to national regulatory requirements. PR6 represents the Digital Platform Creator which is an innovative online tool designed for students to collaboratively design and analyze digital platforms. It offers a visual platform canvas, real-time collaboration and a recommender system for guided learning. The goal of PR7 was to support students in developing scientific papers, either individually or in teams, under the guidance of teachers, and concluded with 7 papers. DEMO project held two planned Summer Schools on the topic of Digital Platform Enterprise in 2023 and 2024, in Romania, with 20 participating students and 6 teachers per summer school. 2 Multiplier Events in 2024.
