▶Objectives
The emphasis on the heritage value for the society based on the concept of utilization of the full potential of the CHH and transforming it to be part of a working economy is a unique combination. A combination that can have a huge impact not only for the local communities & region but also nationwide. As such initiatives are very new and necessary for fostering learning about and through CHH and its positive utilization of the local & national cultural & historical identity and its part in forming the diverse identity of our common EU family. Only through acknowledging that local heritage is also part of EU heritage, the European idea & unity can survive. The general objective of CultHera was to enhance the competencies of university staff to teach and apply models for the socialization of cultural & historical heritage, to support the partners to create new or to develop/improve existing programmes & training courses for specialists in the preservation & socialization of the CHH in urban & sub-urban environment and to facilitate the civic engagement with cultural and historical heritage in these environments to raise awareness and foster better understanding of common EU values, and concepts of common & shared future.
