โ–ถObjectives

Our goal with this project was to create an international network of Living Labs that combined real-life environments with digital infrastructure to enhance research and practical learning. The Living Lab model allowed students to engage in active research, gaining insights into the real-world impact of their decisions. At UNSTPB, a virtual infrastructure was developed to support remote learning in Big Data, Cloud Computing, and IoT, using the PRECIS smart building equipped with sensors for data analysis. Students built competencies using emulators and, with proper security clearance, could interact with live environments. At UnivPM, the digital lab focused on audio applications and electronic measurements, offering access to specialized equipment for testing environmental effects on audio perception. At Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, the digital lab integrated IoT devices into Smart City and eHealth solutions. Through these labs and a connected dashboard, students, researchers, and faculty accessed real-time data, supporting both research and practical learning. The project successfully fostered a collaborative digital ecosystem, encouraging experimentation, innovation, and open data sharing.
