Objectives

Through the implementation of this project, we wanted to obtain the development of digital skills and competences for the teachers/trainers who constitute the target group of the project, in order to successfully achieve an innovative and necessary teaching/learning/evaluation process for the era of digitization and obtain a digital educational ecosystem translated into practice by creating a high performance digital educational environment. The objectives achieved by implementing the project include: Development of digital skills and competencies for teachers/trainers, aiming to innovate the teaching/learning/assessment process for the digitalization era. Training of basic digital skills and competencies for kindergarten and primary school students, including combating disinformation and a good understanding of technologies like artificial intelligence. Creating a digital educational ecosystem, establishing a high-performance digital educational environment with respect to digital ethics, personal data protection, and cybersecurity. Strengthening the capacity of partner organizations for transnational collaboration through joint activities within the partnership.

Activities

The project provided the opportunity for the participating teachers to improve their skills in online teaching. It also encouraged peer education among students for self-care and a healthy mindset in the digital age, involving collaboration with formal and non-formal education. Key objectives included raising awareness of the need to use ICT tools and promoting long-term cooperation between diverse cultures, particularly focusing on the participants needs. The project sought to satisfy some needs such as the preparation of teachers and students to face the challenges of digitalization. Students in primary school and kindergarten did not have enough digital skills to cope with a digitalization of education, as foreseen in EU country plan documents. Parents were not sufficiently prepared, they did not have digital skills to help their children. There is no cyber and IT security strategy for the digital system, hence the need for a safer and better internet for children so that they can explore the opportunity that the internet offers to access knowledge, communicate and develop creativity skills. The need for safe internet browsing, the need to be protected against receiving cyber and fake news was taken into account.

Impact

These activities within the Erasmus+ project have contributed to enhancing the digital skills of participants, creating digital educational resources, and strengthening international collaboration in the field of ICT. These results will have a positive impact on education and the continuous development of participants and their institutions. Tangible Results: Digital Educational Resources: The creation of digital resources such as online lessons, tutorials, and educational materials that can be used in schools and educational centers. Enhanced Digital Skills: Participants improve their skills in using ICT, making them more efficient in their activities. Strengthened International Collaboration: The development of collaborative relationships and partnerships among the organizations involved in the project. Intangible Results: Improved Confidence: Participants gain confidence in using technology and in their ability to address digital challenges. Exchange of Best Practices: Participants share experiences and best practices in using ICT in education and other fields. Development of Communication Skills: Participants develop communication and collaboration skills in the online environment.
