โถObjectives
The project aimed to improve the capacity of the VET education for regional development (RD)at the EU level, by finding the best combination of bottom-up approaches and leadership that involved teachers, trainers and learners in a strategy and top-level direction. The objectives targeted 1. Development of an e-learning platform dedicated to innovation in the RD sector to better support major economic, environmental and social changes and to place RD VET in a better position to respond to future developments through innovation 2. Strengthening the capacity of the VET in the RD field by incorporating innovation and digitization 3. Defining an own path of innovation and digitization for the VET system in the RD field, a suitable system for the interested parties and for learners, employers and VET providers 4. Developing an innovative training methodology and defining learning strategies for new teaching and learning pedagogies in RD education 5. Development and validation of training materials with content grouped into 3 modules; content validation by 130 VET trainers, and RD staff 6. Improving the educational skills of at least 24 employees from 8 partner organizations, by developing and conducting a joint short-term staff training

QUALITY ASSURANCE: All activities were monitored for compliance with quality assessment. Activities were carried out according to a framework template: planning, design development, implementation, evaluation and lessons learned, improvement, exploitation and sustainability. DISSEMINATION has contributed to raising awareness of the importance of innovation and digitization in the VET system. PROJECT PARTNER MEETINGS contributed to the creation of synergies, cooperation and exchange of best practices between EU partners. The development of the e-learning platform has led to the improvement of access to education for personnel in RD field. This activity is related to the objective of improving the access of RD personnel to lifelong learning. The staff from the EU partner organizations were trained to use the most innovative and modern learning techniques. TESTING OF THE MATERIALS AND THE E-LEARNING PLATFORM activity was carried out in the form of pilot training facilitating an improvement of the professional and digital skills and abilities of the RD staff. A SHORT-TERM TRAINING: 20 employees participated to test the e-learning platform. SUSTAINABILITY - A stakeholders list was drawn up. It was updated and contains stakeholders who are interested in exploiting and who participated in the dissemination activities. The partners inform about the results and products developed, and how to integrate them into educational programs.

THE TANGIBLE RESULTS OF THE PROJECT: 1. A training methodology was developed and the strategy was defined for new teaching and learning pedagogies in the educational field in the regional development sector. 2. A course with 3 modules in the field of regional development was developed 3. An e-learning platform dedicated to innovation in the regional development sector was created 4. At least 130 employees and VET trainers and staff from the field of regional development, at least 20 in each partner country, took part in the validation of the training materials 5. The joint short-term training activity from September 2023 held in Greece and organized by Atlantis, attended by 20 employees from the project's partner organizations. 6. At least 130 Workers in the regional development sector, minimum 20 in each partner community, improved their digital and regional development skills by participating in the pilot testing of the e-learning platform 7. 4 transnational meetings took place: in Ruse (Bulgaria) in March 2022; in Piraeus (Greece) in October 2022; in Derio (Spain) in March 2023; 4th place in Novi Sad (Serbia) in November 2023; 8. 13 multiplier events, 2 in each partner country, plus a final conference in Romania attended by 121 people INTANGIBLE RESULTS: โข Easier access to regional development education programs for staff in the regional development sector within regional development agencies, innovation agencies, as well as for employees in local administrations, consulting companies for European Structural Funds, SMEs, trainers, researchers and also for decision makers, senior technicians and key socio-economic actors in the regional development sector. โข The inclusion of innovation and digitization in the VET system in the field of regional development, thus increasing its flexibility and addressability โข More regional development workers in regional development have improved their skills and competences in their field of work and increased their performance at work โข Several workers in the field of regional development had and have access to quality education in the field of regional development through the materials developed โข Several intersectoral synergies and cooperation networks were created โข Expanded the educational skills of regional development workers โข Raised awareness among workers in the field regional development, but also decision-makers, senior technicians and key socio-economic actors in the region, as well as society in general about the importance of learning using modern learning systems that incorporate innovation and digitization โข High-quality educational actions and activities were offered that supported the professional activity of workers in the field of regional development, but also of decision-makers in regional development
