SEA MENTORS platforms aimed to enable knowledge transfers between seafarers in various ranks which directly adapts vocational education and training to labour market needs, and contributing to innovation in vocational education and training. SEA MENTORS has disseminated the innovative practices developed within the partnership, across Europe and internationally. SEA MENTORS project objective is to deliver the following results (www.seamentors.eu): - the level of “experiential knowledge” has been identified based on a complex study regarding the importance and relevance of mentorship, revealed in 2 published studies; - a Joint Carrier Counseling e-Center has been implemented (https://www.seamentors.eu/portal.html); - a professional assessment tool has been developed to instruct the cadets about their professional potential (https://marplat.eu/course/view.php?id=50); - full training package for mentors and mentee has been created and posted online for general use; - an experiential knowledge library with mentorship experiences have been developed; - complex data basis with mentors and potential employers have been developed; - 12 mentoring meetings have been organized; - 5 newsletters and 1 brochure have been created.

During the project implementation the following activities have been organized: - 5 Transnational Meetings among the partners, 2 workshops (SeaConf 2022 and 2023) and 1 final event for dissemination have been organized; - 8 direct meetings with mentors and 4 online inter-institutional meetings with international mentors and mentees have been organized; Regarding the work packages, following activities have been conducted: - T 1.1. A questionnaire for Experiential Knowledge Identification has been created and a respective research questionnaire has been developed further compiled 2 complex studies, published in the journals and on the website; - Task 1.2. The seamentors.eu platform has been developed as online tool for enhancing the experiential based knowledge (www.seamentors.eu). - Task 1.3. The content has been created and uploaded on the portal - mentorship library, mentorship studies, dissemination results; - Task 1.4. A online platform for mentoring and carrier cancelling has been created using the MOODLE platform - Mentorship and carrier guidance tools - professional assessment of trainees (https://marplat.eu/course/view.php?id=50). - Task 2.1. A mentorship and counselling methodology have been developed under a Joint Carrier Counseling e-Center (https://www.seamentors.eu/portal.html). - Task 2.2. On-line tool development for maritime professional acknowledgement has been created bringing particular level of depth in knowledge, skills and understanding for a given level of seniority, and given job functions (https://www.seamentors.eu/mentoring_resources.html). - Task 2.3. and Task 2.4 - The platform www.seamentor.eu has been tested and used in mentorship meetings conducted among the partners. - Task 2.5. The online web based applications have been tested and used - 233 cadets have pursued the counselling services in the online tool (https://marplat.eu/course/view.php?id=50).

The following results have been achieved: - a SEA MENTORS online Training Platform has been designed for young seafarers so that they will be able to enhance their experiential knowledge and progress in their career further with complex content - carrier guidance, mentors network, experiential knowledge transfer library, studies, dissemination materials (www.seamentors.eu); - 1 online tool for carrier orientation and professional guidance has been created and tested with 233 cadets, being available for long term - the mentees were able to test themselves and received an automatic professional profile that would help them in pursuing the carrier path (https://marplat.eu/course/view.php?id=50); - 2 questionnaires have been submitted and 2 studies have resulted, in order to reveal the importance and relevance of mentorship in seafaring activity according to STCW rules and regulations; - 5 scientific articles in mentorship area have been written in partnership - a full report of the project results is in the preparation, to comprise all results (mentorship methodology, mentoring studies, scientific contributions); - 5 newsletters have been released; - 1 final event for dissemination of project results has been organized, where the project brochure and the project websites have been launched; - 1 logo, 1 roll up, 1 project flyer and 1 brochure have been created and promoted during the project implementation; - more than 1000 cadets have attended 12 mentoring sessions organized by the partners; - a large library for mentoring interviews has been built to stimulate the experiential knowledge transfer; - 1 mentoring network comprising mentors, mentees and companies have been developed and disseminated within the project portal.
