โ–ถObjectives

Amid the COVID-19 crisis, education, including Vocational Education and Training (VET), grappled with unprecedented disruptions. Educators scrambled to pivot to digital platforms, grappling with the sudden shift to online teaching. However, this transition wasn't seamless, as many educators lacked the necessary digital skills for effective remote instruction. For VET trainers and educators accustomed to traditional classroom settings, the transition to online environments posed significant challenges. They had to quickly adapt to new roles, mastering digital delivery methods, navigating data security concerns, and familiarizing themselves with web conferencing tools. As the pandemic underscored the importance of lifelong learning, the project consortium recognized the urgent need to bolster educators' digital competencies. The project aimed to equip VET providers and educators with the skills needed to thrive in the digital age, enabling them to overcome the hurdles posed by the pandemic and sustain learning opportunities. Through targeted training, educators learned to design engaging online activities, develop effective assessments, and create accessible courses tailored to adult learners' diverse needs and learning preferences.
