▶Objectives
The ClassTHIFA project aimed to provide educators with innovative tools to enhance communication within the classroom, addressing critical challenges in higher education. Its primary goal was to transform classrooms from collections of individual learners into cohesive, collaborative teams, improving the overall learning experience and fostering teamwork—a vital skill for the workforce of the future. By developing the TEAM CLASS COACHING model, based on transactional analysis, cognitive behavior strategies, sensory-based learning, coaching techniques, and Bloom's taxonomy, the project sought to close communication gaps between educators and students. The project would stimulate innovative practices in higher education, reduce dropout rates, and promote effective knowledge transfer, enabling students to achieve higher levels of learning while addressing their need for affirmation, feedback, and interpretation in communication processes.
▶Activities
Project partnership comprised 9 institutions from 6 European countries (Romania, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Sweden and Turkey) to presenting a balanced geographic coverage. This mixture of institutions with different profiles, capacities and complementary competences was appropriate for the development of the work programme (higher education institutions, SMEs and non-profit institutions). Within the project we have used a set of implementation activities to materialise the project objectives, supported by preparation, management, quality and dissemination activities to ensure the propagation of its results even after the project has ended. All of the project results are outcomes of five (5) project results: 1. A Beyond-State of-the-art & Development of Coaching Methodology- RO1 2. ClassTHIFA Trainer’s Handbook -RO2 3. ClassTHIFA MOOC development-RO3 5. ClassTHIFA Practice Result research-RO5. Since the result "4. ClassTHIFA Virtual Coaching Platform -RO4" from the application was not funded within the project's budget, the parties decided to finance parts of it independently, as we concluded that this result was still crucial for the successful execution of the project.
