Objectives

The partner schools wanted to set up a system for recognising student mobility and test it with three mobility events during the project. Our aim is to use this system in future Erasmus+ and other similar projects and to spread our experience to other schools. By participating in an international exchange, students increase their key competences and it is right that this is recognised and valued in some way by the home school. All three schools have different experiences of teaching about climate change, environmental protection, and sustainability. With this project, we wanted to introduce more of these themes in the different subjects. In each school, we wanted to introduce at least one activity in this field that would become permanent. We presented the best examples of good practice to each other in teacher networks, thereby strengthening teachers' teaching competences in the selected areas. Through the teacher networks, we aimed to promote the participation of new teachers in international projects and to increase teachers' interest in participating in in-service training and follow-up activities abroad.

Activities

The most important activity was the establishment of a protocol for the recognition of international mobility of students in general education. The protocol was tested on three international mobilities, evaluated and shortcomings were addressed. In the last year, the protocol has been implemented in other international projects. We have carried out 3 international mobilities. We prepared the students for the mobility through jointly agreed activities. During the mobility, we informed students about selected 2030 Agenda goals, good practices in the fight against climate change and other sustainable practices. Through writing journalistic articles, role-plays and the preparation of a closing event, we develop various key competences. We managed and monitored the project properly and made some necessary changes to ensure the quality of the project. The project results were disseminated at the school, through various media and at professional meetings of teachers. Instead of the planned 3 networking events, 4 teacher networking events and an additional final meeting were held. We presented 15 (planned 12) examples of good practice and 6 (planned 2) papers. Each school has introduced project content in different subjects.

Impact

The most important product is the "Protocol for the Recognition of Student Mobility in General Education". We have reviewed the experience with recognition at BC Naklo, created a set of possible recognition solutions and written down the whole recognition process, taking into account the students' activities before, during and after the mobility. The protocol was tested on three mobilities and on KA1 and KA2 mobilities and translated into English. The 2nd outcome was 3 mobilities with 5 days of the programme each, where we tested the protocol and taught about selected Agenda 2030 goals. The 3rd result is the establishment of a high-quality partnership network, in which we have exchanged 15 examples of good teaching practices to promote the selected 2030 Agenda goals and to fight climate change. Dissemination results were: eTwinning classroom, 6 papers presented at international conferences, publications in the media, presentation of the project at an international meeting of Slovenian and Austrian schools. Each school will continue with one activity to fight climate change: bottles instead of plastic bottles, promotion of Mondays as a day to drink water, collection of clothes and food for the socially disadvantaged.
