▶Objectives
Hi-EduCarbon course targeted for universities, state and public administrations and all private organizations were focused on the current state of carbon footprint of products and organisations in all areas of the economy; GHG emissions concerning heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems; use of renewable energy sources; optimal use of natural resources. Further objective of the educational scheme development and training course was to support all cooperated universities in their internationalisation process. By implementing the project, all participants achieved enhanced knowledge and experience in quantifying greenhouse gas emissions at the level of a product and organization as well as holistic view of greenhouse gas reduction options at the level of neighbourhoods and cities towards mitigation climate change through green materials, renewable energy, green technologies.
▶Activities
In the project, six transnational project meetings were held, including the opening and closing meetings. Brief overview of the meetings:: • Kick-off meeting was the opening meeting of the project. It was organized online on 9.12.2021 (because of Covid 19). Project work plan, tasks and responsibilities, evaluation and reports periods were discussed. • 1st unscheduled virtual project meeting was held on 10.5.2022 in order to present selected lectures on the topic of the project. • 2st project meeting was transnational project meeting held at the University of Alicante, Spain from 2.11-4.11.2022. The aim of the meeting was to discuss and propose the first training course. • 3nd project transnational meeting took place from 25.4.-27.4.2023 at the University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The aim of the meeting was to present and discuss the preparation of the second training course. It was periodical meeting in order to monitor and evaluate the project activities. • 4th project meeting: This meeting took place from 4.12-6.12.2023 at the Technical University of Kosice (it was not in Ukraine because of the war, as planned in the proposal). • Final meeting was the closing meeting held in lead partner’s country, Slovakia on 28.-29.10.2024.
