MED-INTERGO
▶Summary
The reason for submitting the application was a poor situation in healthcare caused by the shortage of specialized medical personnel, coupled with the aging population. One of the solutions we identified was the arrival of healthcare professionals from abroad, mainly from non-EU countries, where strict restrictions and barriers exist, which the project aims to eliminate. The need, therefore, is for a smooth and quick integration of foreign professionals into the healthcare system of the partner countries.
▶Objectives
The main goal of the project is to improve the delivery of healthcare, which we aim to achieve by enhancing the integration of foreign doctors, dentists, nurses, and pharmacists. To achieve this, we need to address the main weakness of integration, which is insufficient language proficiency as a requirement for healthcare professions. We are addressing this by improving outdated mechanisms for helping and preparing foreign doctors, dentists, nurses, and pharmacists for professional exams, as well as creating entirely new educational tools. In addition to education, the project also addresses legislative, administrative, and organizational barriers, which we thoroughly analyse and propose optimal solutions based on best practices from other EU countries.
