Women Empowerment in Agricultural Cooperatives

The primary goal of the project was to empower women farmers within agricultural cooperatives. Our specific objectives included the following: Strengthening Agricultural Cooperatives: We aimed to boost the capacity of women's agricultural cooperatives by fostering enhanced cooperation with adult education and offering innovative training programs. Promoting Cooperative Farming: By encouraging cooperative farming among women, we sought to increase awareness of women's entrepreneurship in rural areas. Problem Solving through Knowledge Sharing: The project aimed to address challenges in agricultural cooperatives by sharing expertise and experiences among the participating institutions. Providing Improved Training: We intended to offer women farmers improved training in agricultural cooperatives at the EU level, contributing to their professional development. Wider Dissemination: Another goal was to reach broader audiences to share the project's results and best practices. Supporting Key EU Priorities: The project also aimed to contribute to the European Commission's priorities and the Erasmus+ program by focusing on women empowerment, rural development, sustainability, and digital transformation.

We implemented key activities to achieve our project's objectives and meet the needs of our target audience. Development of Intellectual Outputs: We created three main outputs. The first was an "Innovative Methodology for Agricultural Cooperatives Training," which improved the quality of training for adult educators. The second output was a "Training Module for Women Farmers," enhancing their skills and communication in agricultural cooperatives. The third output was the "AgroSis (e-Learning Platform)," providing simulations, videos, and online classes for practical learning. Transnational Meetings: These meetings involved all partners to discuss and evaluate project progress. Feedback and idea exchange ensured the quality of our outputs. Multiplier Events: These events helped disseminate our project results to a broader audience, including policymakers and other stakeholders. They raised awareness about women's empowerment in agricultural cooperatives. LTT Mobility for Adult Educators: Our partner AGACA hosted a specialized training event to improve adult educators' skills in online education and modern methods for agricultural cooperatives. These activities contributed to the success of our project, promoting women’s empowerment in agricultural cooperatives and improving the quality of training for adult educators.

The key tangible outputs of the project included the following intellectual products designed to empower women farmers in agricultural cooperatives: Innovative Methodology for Agricultural Cooperatives Training: This methodology provided adult educators with modern techniques and effective approaches to train women farmers. It contributed to the quality of agricultural cooperative education. Training Module for Women Farmers: This comprehensive module covered not only agricultural cooperatives but also digital, social, and administrative skills. It was a practical resource for both women farmers and adult educators. AgroSis (e-Learning Platform): This platform offered digital learning, simulations, and online classes for women farmers and adult educators, promoting practical application of knowledge and adapting to distance education. These tangible results aimed to boost the capacity of women farmers by providing innovative training methods and resources. Through these outputs, women farmers enhanced their skills in agriculture and cooperatives, and adult educators gained new insights for effective training. The project also produced important intangible results, such as: Empowerment and Economic Growth: Women farmers gained better-quality education, which led to increased economic power and societal empowerment. Improved Networks and Collaboration: The transnational partnership enabled adult educators to connect with EU colleagues, expanding their professional networks. Wider Usage and Recognition: The project outputs were intended for broader use by public education centers, vocational training centers, NGOs, and other institutions interested in agricultural cooperatives. This wider reach boosted recognition and collaboration across Europe. These outcomes contributed to the project's overarching goal of empowering women farmers in agricultural cooperatives, supporting sustainability, and enhancing training quality for adult educators and cooperatives.
