Summary

Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Project (YEEP) was a project implemented for young people between the ages of 18-29 living in Europe and belonging to a minority group. It is a project that aims to increase the participation of minority youth in employment by improving their digital competencies and entrepreneurship skills in today's world where information and communication technologies are developing. Social exclusion and integration problems faced by minority groups living in Europe are among the difficulties young people encounter in their social lives. These problems, which young people living in the minority group are exposed to, bring along a big problem of not being included in the labor force. With YEEP, it is expected to find a solution to the problem of not being included in the labor force and not being able to take part in employment, which is caused by the social exclusion and integration problems of young people who migrated to Europe due to various reasons and who are in the minority group in Europe.

Objectives

The main objective of the Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Project (YEEP) was to address the social exclusion and labor force participation challenges faced by minority youth in Europe, particularly those aged 18-29. By improving their digital skills and entrepreneurship competencies, the project aimed to increase their employability and reduce barriers to workforce entry. Additionally, the project sought to boost self-confidence among young people, promote the establishment of new enterprises, and foster an entrepreneurship culture within minority communities. Through non-formal education activities, YEEP intended to enhance the knowledge and skills of participants, contributing to their long-term integration into the labor market and society.

Activities

In the Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Project (YEEP), several key activities were implemented to achieve its goals. The project produced two main outputs: the Entrepreneurship Training Module and an E-Learning Platform. The Entrepreneurship Training Module was designed to help minority youth in Europe step into entrepreneurship and shift their perspectives positively. The E-Learning Platform, using gamification methods, aimed to enhance entrepreneurship skills for those unable to participate directly in project activities. Additionally, three Learning, Teaching, and Training (LTT) activities were carried out to support the project’s objectives. To promote the project and ensure visibility, two multiplier events were organized. These activities collectively aimed to improve digital and entrepreneurship skills among young minority members.

Impact

The Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Project (YEEP) delivered several concrete outputs and results. The two primary intellectual outputs were the Entrepreneurship Training Module and the E-Learning Platform. The Entrepreneurship Training Module was designed with non-formal education methods to equip minority youth with the skills needed to engage in entrepreneurship, while the E-Learning Platform used gamification techniques to further develop these skills for participants who could not engage directly in project activities. In terms of broader outcomes, YEEP aimed to increase the participation of young minority members in employment, boost youth entrepreneurship in the region, and enhance self-confidence among the target group. The project also contributed to fostering a culture of entrepreneurship within minority communities and supported the establishment of new enterprises. By engaging participants in non-formal education activities, the project helped develop their personal and professional competencies, addressing issues of social exclusion and integration. Ultimately, the project promoted economic and social inclusion for minority youth in Europe
