Objectives

By implementing the Future Skills Cockpit (FSC VET) project, we aimed to develop a tool on European level tailored to the future labour market. The FSC tool was designed to help European career starters reflect on their competencies and identify the transversal skills needed for their future careers. This enables users to design and visualize their personal learning journeys, enhancing their employability through innovative elearnings. The tool also aimed to increase digital competence and promote self-determined learning. The project incorporated feedback from its target groups throughout its development to ensure relevance and effectiveness. We sought to improve the professional qualifications of young professionals, thereby boosting their career opportunities in the European labour market. Long-term effects were aimed at using participative and digital methods, adapting to holistic skills profiles, and leveraging synergies with organizations across various sectors. Ultimately, the FSC tool aimed to bridge the gap to working life, enhancing competitiveness and contributing to the European Skills Agenda.

Activities

At the activity level, we implemented the following concrete actions to achieve the outputs, outcomes, and ultimately the impact: + Start Phase: Managed project setup and implementation by the project lead (PL) and the project partners (PP). Established project structure, internal accounting, and digital project control. Held a transnational kick-off meeting in Austria with all PPs, followed by the implementation of the kick-off results by PL. + Project Phase 1: Organized and implemented a transnational workshop to create a future skills portfolio, forming the basis for defining future skills in the tool by PL (Austria), PP1 (Hungary), and PP3 (Lithuania). Developed a target group-specific requirements profile for the basic concept of the product by all PPs. + Project Phase 2: Designed and planned the tool, including the creation of the basic concept, pedagogical rough design, and scripts. Created the database for the tool and finalized content prototypes by PL. Completed the first interim report for the Value Strategy concept by PP1 and drafted the rough competence grid. + Project Phase 3: Reached agreement among all PPs on a content prototype. Designed content and programmed the tool by PL. Translated the tool into project languages (DE, EN, LIT, IT, and HUN) by all PPs. Tested the tool prototype by all PPs, followed by evaluation and revision loops. Started the policy paper and defined requirements for the user guide. + Project Phase 4: Created the user guide and developed the train-the-trainer workshop. Organized and conducted the train-the-trainer workshop, including tool testing, evaluation, and drafting improvements. + Project Phase 5: Organized and implemented prototype tests in the target group across all partner countries by all PPs. Conducted evaluations, drafted improvements, and implemented revision loops. + Project Phase 6: Revised the tool and achieved final acceptance. Completed the final Value report, finalized the competence grid, guides, and policy paper. + Project Phase 7: Executed roll-out and multiplier events. + Project Phase 8: Completed the project, held the final transnational project meeting, and handing in of the final report. Impact

The following were the concrete results developed during the FSC VET project: + FSC as a target group-oriented tool (online tool) and user-guide - AUSTRIA: the definition of the most relevant Future Skills and the active use and dissemination of the Future Skills Tool by the project partners. The tool was developed together with the actual target group from all partner countries. It is available as free online source, embeddable in different technical systems. A user-guide for the target group was developed with a step-by-step guide and further recommodations on how to incorperate the tool. + FSC Trainer the Trainer guide incl. competence grid - ITALY: It was implemented and is foreseen for the use of the tool by European trainers. European trainers were instructed online in the use of the tool and further trained on the topic of Future Skills. + FSC Competence Grid (Skillsmatrix) and Value Delivery Strategy - HUNGARY: The Future Skills Tool Competence Grid (Skillsmatrix) was developed and a comprehensive Value Delivery Strategy was created. + FSC Policy Paper - LITHUANIA: Dissemination Strategy for the project as well as for the FSC Tool was developed and the policy paper with the elaboration on Future Skills, national context and target group evaluation was created.
