Summary

Method of social inclusion and environmental awareness through creativity and upcycling emanates from the service insertion of 4 Belgian CPAS and Article 27 Bw.Strong positive experiences and significant benefits for users, the holders applied for an Erasmus+ grant in order to transform this local project into a transnational method via exploratory research, no similar model of formalized methodology in Europe. Focused on theoretical perspective, practical international comparison and development of a specific methodology. We wanted to meet these specific needs on the public side:autonomy, confidence and self-esteem,feeling of adhesion, fighting isolation, active citizen participation, cultural exchanges, access to adapted and useful educational activities and resources.Side bearers:increasing social impact, needs for innovative social work tools, developing our integration practice, legitimising through European support, develop this project abroad, support our audiences in this approach, exchange on our practices and the institutional fabric of each, learn from approaches deployed elsewhere, coordinate a transnational partnership.

Objectives

Promote the inclusion and participation of target audiences in an insertion perspective through upcycling practices;use upcycling as a vehicle to raise awareness of ecology and transform behaviours in order to give audiences the opportunity to be European citizens who are supportive, inclusive, eco-engaged, responsible, aware and critical. Adhere to other modes of participation in social and environmental life with a lasting impact. Discover and set up cooperation around these practices, share our practices and confront other audiences abroad. Open spaces for the exchange of good practices between professionals from partner countries and try to maintain this link outside the stock exchange.Determine this practice in a methodology, tested, analyzed, adapted and available to other communities and that would optimize empowerment, creativity, ecological commitment, the feeling of adhesion for audiences with fewer opportunities.

Activities

Deliverables: kits: knowledge and practice tools created and tested by participants. These kits are available to communities. They are complete and adaptable. Aims to raise awareness on specific environmental themes and upcycling practices. They resume the process-type of workshop and its content. The participants became competent to supervise the use of the method and the kits they created. They gave themselves a group name, created an eponymous site «Surcycl'Arts» intended for the dissemination of these deliverables in France and Belgium. The project reached more than 500 people outside the main participants through dissemination events thus contributing to the visibility and dissemination of the method and kits(Cultural village, workshops ext.,Marathon of creation, Braderie de l'art). The method was developed by the bearers. It is accessible to all on the website.Resumption of training in connection with a specific technique.Realization of many creations (collect/ind)
