โ–ถObjectives

The priority goal we set for our project was to promote interest and excellence in science, technology, engineering and mathematics and the STEAM approach. With the STEAM model we wanted to direct our students to the information they wanted to reach with critical and creative thinking and discover the targeted information themselves,by going through the assumptions based on the cause-effect relationship. Our project aimed to achieve the following goals by giving particular importance to STEAM model in education processes:Increasing academic achievement by at least 5 %,students' problem-solving skills based on cause-effect relationships(10%)and creative and critical thinking skills. With the wisdom of the crowd method the students to take an active role in the team,in peace with their peers so that they become individuals who are more compatible with their social environment. Moreover, with our project we wanted to reveal and support the artistic aspect of our students. With the STEAM model we wanted not only to increase academic achievement in basic courses at an optimal level with its interdisciplinary transparency feature but also to evaluate and support the students' critical, creative and collective thinking skills and artistic skills.

โ–ถActivities

The first activity we implemented in our project was "The motion of the technology" in Turkiye with the host organization Pamukoren Ortaokulu,Kuyucak on 19th-23rd September,2022.All activities during the Mobility were based on technology and engineering. Our second activity "Art in everywhere" was virtual and organized by our Serbian partner "Branko Radicevich"Elementary school,Bujanovac on 17th-28th October,2022.The students developed art, math and physics by working on Fibonacci numbers the laws of momentum and motion."Our world is a machine"-the third mobility was hosted by our Turkish partner "Pamuokoren Ortaokulu" on 4th-18th January,2023 and it was our second virtual mobility. The activities were based on science, engineering and technology. On 27th-31st March,2023 Bulgarian applicant organization Kaanland EOOD,Razgrad hosted its partners and the activity "Ready or not, here I come Math" was organized. The highlight of the mobility was math, engineering and art.The last project activity "Science in nature" was hosted by our Serbian partner "Branko Radicevic",Bujanovac on 24th-28th April,2023.The activities were based on science and art.We also implemented eco-friendly activities during our in-person mobilities and some competitions.

โ–ถImpact

With our project we developed in our students the ability to relate the abstract concepts, contained in the basic lessons with the objects around them and materialize the target knowledge so that their learning became permanent. They are now able to solve a problem by thinking creatively and critically. Our teachers can integrate STEAM model practices into in-class activities and synthesize project experience with their previous technical knowledge and create their unique eclectic approach. The partner organizations had the chance to carry out activities in cooperation with international partners for the first time with our STEAM project and transfer them to their organizations and were able to make necessary updates in their educational programs.Another important advantage of our project was that our partners who have not had any international project experience before started their Erasmus + adventure and had the chance to take students and teachers abroad,to meet different cultures and traditions on-site.They also observed the sample studies of the host organizations in the field of mathematics, science and technology.During the virtual mobilities project participants increased their digital skills,English speaking and writing, etc.
