Objectives

The SEX-ED.NEXT Project was created, planned and implemented specifically to achieve the following objectives: 1. To ‘Break the Taboo’ and contribute to the discourse of Sex and Sexuality Education for populations with disabilities by addressing reality-based issues, concerns and challenges of professional caregivers and the people with IDDs they work with. 2. To produce results that will lead to long-term improvements to the Quality of Life of people with IDDs, especially in the area of interpersonal and romantic relationships. 3. To contribute to the efforts to increase VET Education opportunities for Professional Caregivers and expand their skills and competences, therefore improving the quality of the services they provide 4. To contribute to the European efforts to maintain equality among all citizens and inclusion of vulnerable groups with disabilities. 5. To expand the EU VET providers’ portfolio, providing them with a tailored VET Curriculum and training materials for the education of Caregivers.

Activities

The SEX-ED.NEXT Consortium Implemented the following activities: 1) Project Management activities; development of the Project Management Plan, record keeping, documentation, timesheets, online meetings, meeting minutes, liaison with the national agency and more. 2. Quality Assurance Activities; development of the Quality Assurance Plan, consortium evaluations, QA reporting, TPM evaluations and QA reporting, Final QA Report 3. Dissemination Activities; development of the Dissemination Plan, dissemination of project-related materials on social media, 2 x multiplier events, ME evaluations and reports, Final Dissemination Report, 2 x newsletters, 2 x multiplier events 4. Development of the PR1 Curriculum; in the context of PR1 the consortium: - Carried out surveys with the target group in order to identify training needs - Developed a VET Methodology, outlining the course delivery method - Developed training materials in English, based on the learning needs - Translated the training materials in Greek 5. Training-of-Trainers Activity in Limassol, Cyprus and relevant evaluation and reporting 6. Gathering Documentation and drafting the Final Project Report

The concrete outputs of the SEX-ED.NEXT Project were: 1. Project Management Plan 2. Quality Assurance Plan 3. Dissemination Plan 4. The SEX-ED.NEXT VET Curriculum and Methodology in English and Greek 5. Training-of-Trainers Activity 6. 2 x Multiplier Events in Greece and Cyprus
