Objectives

The aim of the project was to actively engage students in the educational process, develop their cognitive skills, and foster their interest and motivation in studying science and technology. It also aimed to strengthen the competencies of teachers and school staff to better respond to the needs of modern education. Emphasis was placed on innovative teaching methods and involving transnational partners to share best practices and engage in international cooperation in STEM education. With changes in school curricula, where areas such as programming and robotics will be implemented, it is necessary to familiarize students with this issue as soon as possible and develop their cognitive abilities, creative thinking, guide them to work independently on problem-solving, and, above all, teach them to collaborate and lead them towards lifelong learning. All of these aspects were encompassed in the work on this project.

Activities

During the project, a total of four meetings took place. Coordinators from all partner countries initially convened at a transnational meeting in the Czech Republic, aimed at organizing the entire project. The first LTTA meeting was held in Poland, focusing on fundamental ICT skills, with students also enrolled in a course on the Publisher application. The second LTTA meeting occurred in Greece, with the primary theme being coding challenges and exposure to various coding applications. The objective of the final LTTA meeting was to familiarize participants with and work on the Python programming language. Throughout the project, students gradually worked on a booklet, project videos, and a project film. International communication, intercultural understanding, and student collaboration were integral aspects of all activities. Each partner integrated project work and skills acquired from the meetings into their daily tasks, while students shared their new skills with classmates. Coordinators from each country also organized several meetings for their colleagues and students' parents to acquaint them with the project's work and its various outputs.

Impact

As part of the project, a project website was created. Additionally, a Facebook profile was established and regularly updated to inform the public about project activities. (https://www.facebook.com/ErasmusXVLO) Another output was the project logo, which was voted on by all partners, and the logo created by the project coordinator in Turkey was chosen. The project was also presented through a project poster, which served as a dissemination tool. Furthermore, a project brochure was created, including all project activities conducted with students at individual meetings. From each meeting, a photo album was created, and students compiled a summary into a project video. Another project output was an e-book presenting the various activities conducted at each mobility, including their descriptions and programs. As part of the activities, students, in collaboration with teachers, also developed a project booklet outlining specific activities such as robotics, STEM, innovative methods, critical thinking, and 21st-century skills.
