Objectives

We hoped to promote equality and non-discrimination by using partner diversity, in the European framework along the cultural routes. Through networking and exchange with partners, we create a good basis for future partnerships. We wanted to attract new partners for future projects.

Activities

We have met monthly to exchange ideas. Three of the meetings took place on site at the respective partners, the other meetings were held virtually via Zoom. Within the framework of the partner meetings, a questionnaire on the topic (determining the status quo, development possibilities, concept transfer, networking...) was developed, sent to partner organisations of the 47 cultural routes of the Council of Europe and evaluated. During the meetings, a first guideline for network building was outlined. In total, out of more than 600 organisations approached, 24 responded to the questions. 15 organisations are interested in participating in similar projects in the future.

Impact

We received answers to the following questions from the participating partner organisations along the cultural routes: How do you assess the possibility for people with disabilities in your in your region to find a job in the general/first/open labour market? How do you rate the possibility for people with disabilities in your region to live independently and in a self-determined way? How would you rate the possibility for adults with disabilities in your region to find (vocational) training opportunities? How do you assess the possibility for people with disabilities in your region to participate in cultural and leisure activities? How do you assess the possibility for people with disabilities in your region to participate in political decision-making processes? To what extent could education/knowledge transfer improve these possibilities? To what extent can networking and exchange of experience improve these possibilities? We drafted an idea for the next Erasmus project and made first contacts with new partners.
