Objectives

With "Stronger Together", the Berlin Initiative LUNA PARK e.V and LOUNA PARK ERGA Athens wanted to professionalize and sustainably consolidate their cooperation in cultural youth work to European quality standards. The transfer of know-how between the two organizations is an important pillar of their qualification process in order to contribute their skills and experience with their exchange and training programs in the field of performing arts in a structured manner to future European cooperation projects also with third countries. The focus is on promoting the qualification of young adults and specialists based on European values, guidelines and standards, their European mobility and equal participation. Young adults who are still in the process of career orientation and cannot afford the private educational institutions that are predominantly common in artistic professional fields get to know a wide variety of fields of activity and can try out the production world of contemporary dance performances and cultural educational work. Joint public relations work is intended to make the partners' youth work more visible in Europe.

Activities

With "Stronger Together", the partners were able to prepare themselves to participate in European (standardization) processes of artistic cultural youth education in the future, especially in exchange programs for young talent and professionals in contemporary performing arts, in an experience-based, constructive and visible manner. For long-term cooperation and the inclusion of third countries, common values were identified, a child protection concept was developed, learning and course materials with handouts for practical cultural youth work in the performing arts were drawn up, and a common catalog of criteria for the selection of applicants was drawn up. Digital work platforms were set up for the transfer of know-how and the development of results, which support the synchronization of work processes and accelerate the joint development of learning modules for joint training courses. A total of two exchange programs for professionals and four for young professionals were organized, of which the fourth involved also participants from France and Egypt, sponsored by the respective youth organizations. A trilingual website supports international visibility.

Impact

To achieve their project goals, the partners implemented three areas of activity: the Know-how transfer “Better Practice” (1), the joint training measure “Teaching Performance” (2), and the exchange program for young talents “Create Together” (3). The organizational and artistic directors of the LUNA PARK and LOUNA PARK ERGA initiative were responsible for “Better Practice” as well as for the implementation, monitoring and qualification of the results from the “Teaching Performance” and “Create Together” activities. With “Better Practice” they identified the status quo of their organizations as well as their specific strengths and weaknesses with regard to European requirements and defined short- and medium-term measures to further develop their cultural youth work to European standards. With a regular transfer of know-how, they bundled their different competencies in theory and practice, defined common values and criteria for the selection of applicants and implemented digital work platforms. In “Teaching Performance”, specialists developed a.o. digitalised learning modules and handouts for practical work, which are being tested in “Create Together”.
