The Role of Entrepreneurship in Sports: A New Perspective on Young People
▶Summary
Nowadays, youth unemployment is one of the most critical problems that EU countries are facing. There is a link between the increase in the number of young people with a migrant background and the problem of youth unemployment in Europe. Individuals with a migrant background are expected to embark on entrepreneurial activities in order to develop themselves and ensure their employability. The small-scale partnership helps this target group carry out independent social business planning to promote social transformation to job creation through sustainable innovation that fosters positive social change according to international standards. For this innovation, it is aimed to develop and concretely implement creative "ordinary" thinking with Digital Storytelling, which is most preferred by using non-formal education methodology of young people with a migrant background, and to integrate them into Sport entrepreneurship by developing their digital skills. With this small-scale partnership, the project partners will enable the target group to put their entrepreneurial skills and competencies into practice through the sports field, and to integrate them into the society more easily.
▶Objectives
RES aims at addressing on the priorities of promoting entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship education through cooperation among countries affected by massive youth unemployment phenomena with a concrete focus on Sport entrepreneurship, foster entrepreneurial and social entrepreneurial empowerment and concrete transition from ideas to action in the field of Sport Entrepreneurship among youth, in combination with NFE methodologies targeting young people with a migrant background.
▶Activities
- Trainings, workshops, conference mutual learning activities aiming at transferring and sharing knowledge on social entrepreneurship, promoting exchanges and interactions between the experienced tutors, small business owners and migrants, hence facilitating the integration of migrants; - Developing and sharing the knowledge on how they can pursue their entrepreneurial journey in an effective manner. - Development of the sport entrepreneurship guide by the target group.
▶Impact
Envisaged results: - unleashed the entrepreneurial potential in the field of sport of at least 16 young with migrants background; - Created Sport Entrepreneurship Guide and disseminated ; - our expectation is that at least 2 social enterprises per participating countries are envisaged to be launched with mentorship & coaching support after the training; - At least 1 social entrepreneurship ecosystem will be created and nursed even after the project lifecycle. Concrete Results: R1: Report on European good practices. A collection of good practice and successful models of entrepreneurial education of young people through digital storytelling and personal brending. R2: Blanded Mobility R3 The Sports Entrepreneurship Guide R4: Dissemination Conferences in each partner country.
